How long are you going to hold your breath waiting for life to return to ‘normal‘? Like little kids, sometimes we just stomp our feet and threaten with a good breath-hold til we turn blue wanting things to be the way we want them. And not that there aren’t real issues that need addressing, please don’t get me wrong. There absolutely are. But the reality is, these things are likely to take some time. And that is an exhausting and crippling way to live in my opinion.
But you ask, “What are we to do?”
With so many conflicting opinions, guidelines, and even laws now, the confusion alone can feel paralyzing.
My suggestion…
Stop waiting for the world to change. That is a recipe for depression.
More and more women are starting to wake up and realize that and that there is something new in the air and I am thrilled to work with so many of them.
There is a consciousness in women being awakened, a force rising of women who sense THIS is their time. (And not for self-centered, egotistic, “I am woman, hear me roar” force…NO. Just a quiet, yet determined, grace-under-pressure, there is more we can individually and collectively do, kind of force.
Do you sense it?? Something deep and profound is waking so many up and I love it!
I believe answers to some of the most difficult challenges we face as a population right now lay dormant waiting to be unleashed in women who have served others dutifully and quietly for years all the while being prepared for such a time as this. There is something in the air.
I have made it my mission this summer to help women restore hope and faith in what’s ahead. We really don’t need to wait for the world to change.
