Oh, how I wish you could be a fly on the wall in one of our Live Your Vision groups! The conversation is so rich! Each group is deep and connected, vulnerable and inspired every time we get together. The magic in them is really quite divine and the last several weeks have seemed extra magical.
Wanna know our secret sauce?
We learn from ALL that God has provided – even nature. So although it’s not the sexiest analogy…we fashion ourselves after a flock of geese. I know, I know, I know but we are looking for results…oh yea…they go 70% further together, and we do too!
Sometimes the success we dream of can seem so elusive, but it really could be quite simple.
How do we consistently see such magic happen? How do these women exceed their own expectations over and over again? … The same way the geese do.
Enjoy our not-so-secret formula for success:
1️⃣ Share a Common Goal & Direction
People who share a common direction can get where they are going quicker and easier because they are traveling on the support they receive and the momentum created from one another’s activity.
2️⃣ Stay in Formation
The sense of community emerges from a willingness to work together as a team. Not only is it more efficient – the flock or group together has better visibility of its surroundings AND is more visible as a collective!
3️⃣ Have the Humility to Seek Help
If we have the sense of a goose, we will openly and confidently acknowledge when we need help, and gratefully accept the support that is offered.
4️⃣ Encourage the Leader & Empower Others to Lead
If we have as much sense as a goose, we’ll stand by each other. We’ll be loud and lavish with our encouragement toward those paving the way for us and especially in troubling times. And allow others with gifts we don’t have to shine and lead too.
5️⃣ Recognize & Support Each Other
Words of support and inspiration help energize everyone and is especially important to be directed to those team members on the frontline, helping them keep up the pace, in spite of the day-to-day pressures and fatigue.
6️⃣ Stand by Your ‘Flock’ in Good Times & Bad
If we have the sense of a goose, we will stand by each other when things get rough, and we will willingly take the support and guidance that’s being offered.
7️⃣ Stay Committed to the Team & the Core Values & Purpose
When we drop back, if we have the sense of a goose, we will recover and regroup, and resume formation with the greater team headed in the direction we want to go . . . and we will stick to the plan until we succeed!
The next time you see a formation of geese, remember this message:
