Scared to embrace your brilliance? I get it. There is safety in blending in, not much expectation of you if you are just ordinary and one of many. But the truth is YOU are not. There is only one YOU.

Did you know that the chances of someone having your particular set of strengths according to Gallup are 1 in 20 million?  Combine that with your own unique set of values, your particular passions, and then your own life experiences and we see why the chances of you being ordinary and just like everyone else are next to impossible.

But I nervously longed to embrace my own brilliance UNTIL I gave it some real thought which I will share.

To you (and me) I say…
Relax, because your ‘gifts’ were given to you, you inherited them, granted to you. You did nothing to earn them. Just like any inheritance, the only logical course of action is to be grateful and humble and learn about them.

Once you do, you will then be compelled to use your inheritance to create change of some sort. That is what we do and what inheritances are for – to provide for and make the next generation’s lives better.

I have seen this firsthand as I have just learned day by day more about my own gifts and offered them to others. That is what this week has been about.

And what a week it has been! With over 300 women joining to watch our ReInvent Your Life training series and the response being so enormously encouraging, I have had the privilege to speak to women from Nigeria, the UK, Sweden, Dominican Republic, New Jersey to Los Angeles, and everywhere in between! And I loooove it!

My vision (little ole me) is to inspire and empower a global movement of women to SEE, EMBRACE and be willing to step out in faith to SHARE their unique gifts to make this world better.

Maybe that’s my gifting, my inheritance. Who am I to argue or deny it?

And what I have come to understand is that once other women see their own brilliance and that it is a beautiful gift – an inheritance, then they realize it is also a clue to their calling.

Then once they are convinced and they start to own their own gifts, women then seek the best place for their use and the best way to share them.

It no longer becomes about ‘them’! So no need to worry.

In the words of John Maxwell – we help women ‘be themselves so they can get over themselves.’ So if you are scared to embrace your brilliance, maybe think again.

Why would you be embracing it?
What would happen if you do?
What would happen if you don’t?

And it’s not too late, if you need to see more evidence, watch the RIYL 5-day training again. In case you missed it, here is the link and all replays are available.

Go ahead, embrace your brilliance.

You are the handiwork of The Master.

What else would He make?
