On Saturday, for our monthly Vision Talk series, I interviewed an amazing woman, Dr. Aliette St. Hilaire. (Click here to listen to our interview.) I am not the only one to be sharing her story…WTOL Toledo, Wish – TV Indianapolis, Tennessee Valley Living, TMJ4 Milwaukee…all have recently interviewed her.

Our interview was entitled “Who Could Have Imagined”, the title of Aliette’s recently released book.

I dare not say too much for fear of giving this extraordinary story of faith and belief away. I genuinely had never heard a story like this. Here is a little preview from one of the media outlets. (TMj4)

“Before moving to the States, Dr. Aliette St. Hilaire enjoyed an idyllic childhood in the Bahamas. But life changed abruptly when she became pregnant at 12 and married at 13. Written off as a teenage mom and high school dropout, Aliette made a discovery that would change her life again: faith.

Through faith, she was able to surmount obstacles that would have imprisoned her in poverty and ignorance. She worked hard for an education, ultimately building a successful career in medicine. People have been impressed by her story and told her that she should write a book, so she did.

But let’s just suffice it to say that it’s worth 30 minutes of listening to have YOUR limiting beliefs knocked off, your faith in God increased, and your belief up-leveled about what women are capable of.

I could not think of a better way to close out International Women’s Month than to showcase this amazing woman who made her way here, overcame some of the most devastating circumstances and the greatest odds, refused to give in to victimhood, and is still rising in victory.

You must hear it! And to my point in my last email…your story is a true treasure and if you don’t believe it yet, please spend more time with us.
