Yesterday’s article spoke about the lack of awareness around the importance of training our minds for greater mental fitness, wellness, and mental health. In case you missed part 1, click here to go to our blog.

Now please know we here on Team LYV are NOT therapists, and we are not in any way suggesting that what we are sharing is a replacement for therapy when needed. If you feel you need it, then go and get it.

Therapy is often helpful in healing trauma and wounds. Often the focus is on the past to bring about that desired healing.

Our brand of coaching, however, is about building a bridge to your preferable future. We help you uncover your unique design, then map out a plan with you, and create strategies to get you to your desired future.

However, we cannot do that IF your mind keeps defaulting to the negative. We actually help you understand the need to train otherwise weak or ‘flabby’ minds for greater awareness and retention of the positive and quicker release or reframing of the negative. A strong mind is sharp, agile, creative, and positive in the face of adversity.

We have seen far too many ultra-talented women destroy or limit themselves and their futures by what they think and how they think.

So why the BIG focus this season on mental fitness?

Most recognize the need for physical fitness since that is drilled into us since we were little in school and now publicly. We understand that unless we take measures to help our bodies be strong, powerful, flexible, endure and recover, we will not have these abilities as we age. The result of poor physical fitness can be even life-threatening. Additionally, we understand that environmentally and biologically, we are predisposed toward certain conditions physically like heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, etc.

So we learn to be proactive physically.

Unlike physical fitness, however, there is a lack of awareness of the need to train for mental fitness. Most do not realize that declining cognitive functions, memory, decision-making, information processing, and creative problem-solving are things that we can and should actually proactively train against just like heart disease, diabetes, or high blood pressure. We sadly accept all that as just ‘old age’ or worse yet as “That’s just the way I am”…forgetful, anxious, downcast, ‘glass half empty’ and maybe we take a supplement or even a pill but no real attention is given to what YOU could do for yourself in terms of exercise about those things.

Similar to physical fitness, unless we take measures to ensure our strength of mind, cognitive abilities, flexibility of thought, focus, and concentration coming from the powerfully generated thoughts we choose and appropriate stress management strategies, we will decline in our mental fitness which in turn threatens our mental health. Also like our physical states, we are predisposed toward certain conditions mentally like depression or anxiety. So more and more research, and let’s just face it, common sense, indicates we must exercise our minds, too.

The idea of losing control of my thoughts which in turn affects my moods and then my body and then my life is terrifying to me. I tasted that after the trauma of losing both parents suddenly and vowed upon recovery never to take that for granted again.

So many women come to us that are in fact highly accomplished but are so depleted and have very little mental and therefore emotional reserves left.

Leading up to our big annual online event, Renew Your Vision, we want to get you ready to really get the most out of that event. We are expecting the biggest crowd to date and really want each person to be prepared when they show up. The event is going to be a training workshop on the Power of Mental Fitness to make or break your future. BTW, this topic was requested. Grab your spot now.

This event is going to be unlike any others we have done. It is honestly meant to be a “shot across the bow” or a wake-up call to women everywhere to join the mentally fit movement so you can start LYVing and stop handing over the quality of your life to all the environmental and even biological resistance.

Stay tuned for more great info on mental fitness and what it means specifically for YOU.

And let us…
☑️ Get ready.
☑️ Get registered.
☑️ Get serious about our own mental fitness that leads to greater mental health. This crisis too can be averted. Let’s do it!

XOXO,
Julie & Team LYV
