What is belief?
Belief is the acceptance that a statement is true or that something exists; trust, faith or confidence in someone or something.
It’s easy to define such a concept when we are looking out. We believe in many things – God, our family, our friends, important causes, etc. – but what happens when the tables are turned and we look into ourselves?
Belief in one’s self becomes something that seems out of reach for many of us.
We live in a society that preaches believe in yourself to do greater in life.
Easier said than done, right?
What often holds us back is not lack of opportunity or lack of support or even lack of direction. There are a plethora of those things out there today, but it’s really lack of belief in yourself.

YOU, my friend, hold the key to change in your world. YOU are the sole decision maker and the captain of your own ship, as they say.
Now consider this before you choose for yourself. This was the thought that turned me around. This was the thought that made me say to myself it is no longer OK NOT to shine…
The average person will impact 80,000 people in their lifetime. That is enough to fill London’s Olympic Stadium. So HOW will you impact them is the question?
Are you spreading a message of fear and insecurity by the way you live your life or one of hope and confidence? That’s up to you. And I don’t mean to be trite. But maybe you need a new view of who you are to believe in yourself.
We’ve all got a story. It’s up to us to be brave enough to tell it. To hear it out loud – maybe it’s time to get a new view of your story so you can see what I see…treasure.
