The Best of Both Worlds

With the holiday season now in full swing, let me begin again with the gratitude I feel for each of you. Sincerely, one of my greatest joys is to turn rooms or groups of acquaintances or even strangers into communities and ‘flocks’ without dulling the individual star.

My joy is having the best of both. What do I mean? 

The idea being the individual rises IN the collective in a way not possible alone and that we are individually better when we are together as seen in nature with flocks of geese that go over 70% further together than alone or with sports teams or military units where individuals accomplish significantly more in collaboration.

I see we have so much to be gained from one another, that does not need to take away from our own individual uniqueness. So I wanted to address the idea of our need for our community creating lapsing into uniformity in the name of unity.

I do see the strong swing of the pendulum toward individualism when collectivism snuffs out the essence of individual expression for the sake of its own agenda.

We can look at the multitude of historical examples there.

So how can we have the best of both? Through the synergy and connection of community God intended while enjoying that wonderfully and fearfully made uniqueness of God’s handiwork in YOU.

How do you explore and express the beautiful individuality that God has blessed each of you with while still drawing close to the community, committing our hearts, and gleaning all the wonder of us?

Ahhh, that is THE ‘$64k question’. 😳

That is what we affectionately refer to as this ‘wonderful social experiment’ called Live Your Vision where we are practicing this very idea.

Most have sacrificed one for the other, but again, we are seeing it is possible to have the best of both.

So, what does this produce? 

The results keep flowing as the women keep individually rising (raises, promotions, new relationships, new competencies, new faith, new businesses, new books written, new wonderful life chapters opened up, etc.) all while the groups become these precious communities where a win for one is a win for all. No one needs to dim their light and new priceless relationships are formed.

So in gratitude, we continue to scratch our heads amazed, and thank God.
