Honor Society – Part 3

The power of creating a culture or society of honor cannot be underestimated.

I hope you have already begun to reflect on what I shared about how you were wonderfully made and how you are loved beyond measure by the One who knows all. That internalized knowledge alone should cause you to sit upright and begin to cause you to act and carry yourself differently.

I have definitely seen how internalizing those facts has changed the way I think about myself. I am so much less insecure and anxious (both of which have dogged me for years) and so much more faithful and excited about the future.

Then recognizing the honor that God has given me has only made me want to pay it forward to others.

See how this works: YOU feel good, YOU do good.

So step 3 in creating a change and elevating honor in your world, which as we mentioned creates a wealth and richness that fills the heart and makes the way for greater impact is:

Step 3: Using what you have been given to serve others.  We all have different gifts and we all have different needs. What is the coolest thing is that when we are honoring ourselves, we then will honor others and we do that by sharing the unique gifts we have each been given.

Isn’t that cool???  This is how we were intended to live in this world.

Think about this for a moment…

1. Honoring Yourself – You realize how wonderfully you are made
2. Honoring Others – Because you realize they are purposefully and wonderfully made and worth dying for as well, even if you don’t agree with them. Isn’t it even more amazing when you honor someone you don’t see eye to eye with?
3. Honor the One who made us, ourselves, and one another when we share the beautiful and unique gifts we have been given with others which serves to fill needs and connect us. We are then thankful for our differences.

Like I said – do not underestimate the power of creating a culture of honor. And please do not underestimate the profound need right now.
