Out of reach or just out of your comfort zone?

How often have you capped yourself lately and thought to yourself…
“That’s out of reach for me”? Whether consciously or subconsciously, there are effects.

OR

As more than one woman shared with us lately…

“I have stopped dreaming for myself so that I won’t have to deal with the disappointment.” 

I suppose that could be one way of dealing or rather NOT dealing with discomfort.

But at the end of the day, that has consequences too.

Now reflecting back on how I used to think, all the LYV team members agree.

New ways of thinking determine new feelings which determine new behaviors and ultimately new outcomes. 

The unanimous decision from all of us here is…

“We are NEVER going back.” 

Back to accepting that I am the sum of my weaknesses.
Back to judging myself based on my worst decision.
Back to using avoidance as a protective measure.
Back to allowing my past to determine my future.
Back to letting everyone and everything else determine my schedule.
Back to forfeiting the beautiful GRACE that could be mine in order to “make myself humble”.
Back to thinking small about my future when I serve a ginormous God.

Wow…sometimes there are just watershed moments about how far we have come and how much we have changed… Writing this email is truly one of them for me.

As I sit here moved in my heart about this revelation, I so appreciate the conversations with women who know there is more for them and more in them and the realization that a wonderful future a.k.a. “Their Ideal Day” may be out of their comfort zone but not out of reach.
