We all long to touch the heavens. Why?

Why do we crave the divine connection?

In our quiet moments, we long to be connected to something bigger than ourselves, to live life in wonder and awe. Inside each of us is a yearning to connect with that bigger purpose – divine presence – to matter and to make our unique difference.

Sometimes it’s drowned out by the urgent.

But deep down inside, we are pressed for what we do day to day to have meaning, to leave a legacy, and not just pass time and fulfill responsibility getting up to do it all over again.

Interestingly, I have found it is universal regardless of background. You know you are here for a reason beyond the obvious. It gnaws at you.

WHY?

Because we are made in the image of the divine.

Our lives are more than just dust.

We are connected to the Creator of the stars.

So we must be made for more.

But really, how much time have you actually spent reflecting on what that could be?

Take some time for yourself to intentionally think higher thoughts about what you could possibly be here for. Take the long view, rise above the day-to-day or even your own hard season you are going through right now.

Consider this thought: Maybe because you’re made of stardust, and connected to the eternal; not just dust, you long for and know you were made for more because YOU are made of more.

With that in mind (the idea that God’s plan for you IS bigger), write down 5 things you will start doing.

Then write down 5 things you would stop doing if you had complete confidence that you were chosen for “more” to make that bigger difference.

Hint: Your real purpose here on this earth includes your personal God-given gifts and strengths, values, passions, and life experiences.

Your life is no accident and what’s in you (your vision) is the answer to someone else’s prayer. Take some time to reflect. And even schedule your own personal retreat with the replay of Renew Your Vision.

Last chance to get it.
