Whether you realize it or not, the pressure to conform is enormous out there now that public opinion seems to have been elevated via social media and media in general. (Not to mention our well-meaning but often bossy 🙄 personal family’s opinions of how we should live our lives) and then there are the major organizations we belong to. We all need to belong, but does that mean we need to conform to find connection?

One of my personal strengths is Ideation. This means I refuse to be stifled by traditions or trapped by routines. I bristle when someone says, “We can’t change that. We’ve always done it this way.” Aaaargh, that gets under my skin. 😒

But this is exactly the kind of irritation I need to fuel my passion for transformation and one that has allowed me to launch and build this incredible business over the last 5 years and allows me to help other women break out of the mold.

What is your unique gift that will propel you forward and give you enough “irritation” to create the change you are looking for?  I know you are a changemaker. You wouldn’t be here if you weren’t.  And one thing that all successful changemakers have is that they are keenly aware of their own strengths and are constantly developing them, getting more and more adept at how and when to use them.

In fact, studies have shown that a common trait among highly successful leaders is not what you may think. Winston Churchill was an entirely different leader than Mahatma Gandhi.  What these great leaders share is the awareness of their own personal strengths and the dedication to intentionally developing them.

SO GOOD NEWS: You don’t need to be like anyone else to be successful or to belong. You just need to be keenly aware of who you are and committed to developing that. In other words, God has His beautiful and perfect plan to use who you are to create the change He intends and to play your part. THAT is what true success looks like…YOU being all God intended. Then He will do His magic with the results. But I guarantee you will feel a greater sense of belonging and those you love will be happier when you are clear on who you are and what you are good for.

If you don’t know yourself well enough you will conform…not transform either yourself or anyone else around you. My husband has always told me…”If you don’t have a plan, someone else will give you one.”

The way I see it, we either transform or conform. Get your plan now to transform into ALL God has intended for you and to find your place in this world.  Please don’t allow this world and its views to conform you to it, you will never feel like you fit. This world NEEDS what YOU have.

To your transformation!
