I am reflecting this morning on my time together with the amazing women in the LYV community in 2021. We have completed another monumental year of miracles and milestones. It really is so overwhelming to see the growth and change and excitement. I am in awe of what I have seen God do.
One thing I meant to point out in our recent class session was about when ‘opportunity knocked’ (or rather an Angel 😇) at Mary’s door.
What was her response?
She responded with her own I am statement! 😁
The “I am statement”, as we call it, is something we help each woman craft in accordance with their unique God-given strengths or rather attributes of His he has deposited into them.
This is something we help each woman to create for herself in an attempt to help her get a more accurate view of who she is created to be rather than identifying through roles she plays, suffering she has endured or mistakes she has made. You’d be shocked how many self identify and label themselves forever by misfortune in their life. WOW…what a skewed view of self…no wonder so many live in a diminished state wishing for more.
The I am statement however is coming up from within; innate and intrinsic versus some sort of external label. We then proceed to use this statement to help you rewire your thinking to see yourself more accurately as God designed you thus giving you a God’s eye view. 😲
With that view comes a new and deep, confident faith in who God made you (as Mary demonstrated) which is crucial to enable you to play the role God has in store for you.
Mary knew who she was, so she stepped up when called.
Are you clear on who God specifically created you to be?
Know your design and you will get clearer on your destiny.
Inside Mary was planted a spark of life born to bring us hope. You too have a spark of life within you destined to give others hope. We could not ask for a greater Christmas gift. Who knows? This just may be your opportunity (or your angel) knocking. 😇
